Auditions will be at Mellwood Arts Center / Absolute Studio Theater #191,
1860 Mellwood Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206. This will be part of a joint audition for a second play. This second play, Untitled, will have readings from the script, improvisation, and movement, so dress accordingly.

The Weir Auditioners will read from the script. Irish accent will be needed for the production. Attempts during the audition will be appreciated. Additionally, McPherson's Christmas play, Dublin Carol, is proposed for December, and all who audition on this day will be considered for that as well.

Synopsis

  • Jack, a mechanic and garage owner in his fifties.

  • Brendan, the owner of the pub in which the play is set. He is in his thirties.

  • Jim, Jack's assistant, in his forties.

  • Finbar Mack, a local businessman in his late forties.

  • Valerie, a Dublin woman in her thirties.

 

In a bar in rural Ireland, the local men swap spooky stories in an attempt to impress a young woman from Dublin who recently moved into a nearby haunted house. However, the tables are soon turned when she spins a yarn of her own.
